A New Blog Begins

Hello everyone,

I'm sure many of you know me as Jonathan, a teacher at Uncle Sam American School (USAS). I regularly write blogs for USAS, in the hopes that prospective teachers can get a sense for what it's like to live and teach here in Taiwan.

But of course, for those of us who come to Taiwan to teach, there is a lot more to experience than simply the school we work for. Teaching in Taiwan is an entire life experience, where even simple things such as ordering a coffee can seem like a bit of an adventure!

Living in another part of the world, where you don't speak the local language or completely understand the local culture, can be a challenge for sure. But it can also be an incredibly rewarding experience as well.
